BestBuzz Partners with Team Escalade Texas for Social Good

DALLAS, Oct 03, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — BestBuzz, a social media and mobile marketing platform that creates a new layer of communication between brands and their customers’ friends, has signed on to join forces with Team Escalade Texas for a social good challenge.

BestBuzz is donating its services to create positive buzz about the six non-profits that are competing for a $150K media grant being offered by Cadillac Texas through its awareness campaign called Team Escalade Texas. When using the BestBuzz mobile app, the non-profit’s fans, friends, and supporters can buzz-in by scanning their custom-branded Buzz QR code with their smartphone.

BestBuzz is unique because it ties together QR codes, real-time promotions, SMS campaigns, social media, tracking and analytics, word-of-mouth advertising, optimized landing pages, and mobile marketing into one simple platform. According to research from eMarketer, the value of a single buzz-in is worth over $95.31.

Regular QR codes take customers to a web link, but Buzz QR codes benefit the users with some kind of reward attached to the action. It may be an instant prize, like a free appetizer or concert tickets, or it could be an experience reward, like entered to win a trip to the Cayman Islands or have lunch with a celebrity or athlete.

For the Team Escalade Texas challenge, users receive a social good reward, supporting these six charities, CureDuchenne, Taylor’s Gift, Love Hope Strength, Ronald McDonald House, the YMCA, and Special Olympics Texas, for a chance to win a $150K media package from Cadillac Texas.

BestBuzz is a mobile app that is available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry 6.0+. Users can download the free BestBuzz scanner in the App Store, Android Market or text “BUZZ” to 822-57, and click on the link. BestBuzz users must have a Facebook account to login and more social logins, like Twitter, are coming soon. The BestBuzz scanner will also work on any regular QR codes.

Once users have downloaded the BestBuzz app, they can visit the BestBuzz Facebook page for current promotions and places to buzz-in for rewards.
