Rock Music Experiences: A New High, Music Concert Atop Empire State Building

It started with a few small steps 1,576 to be exact. That was the number of steps needed to perform a morning ascent up the Empire State Building, led by two-time cancer survivor Mike Peters. Rock star aiming to hit new heights on Everest

A rock star from Petersfield plans to take music to new heights-by playing a gig on Mount Everest. Jamie West-Oram is set to trek with his band The Fixx to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain and then join other groups in playing a unique fundraising concert. Some rock stars may love to get high before a show but few make it to 5,500m. And Mr. West-Oram said he is eagerly looking forward to the project.

Stars Rock Everest at ‘highest gig’

A cancer awareness group and a team of British and US musicians claim to have staged the world’s highest concert-on the slopes of Mount Everest. The US-based Love Hope Strength Foundation said on its website the Everest Rocks concert was held on Sunday at 18,540 ft. Earlier, the group said it intends to register the performance with Guinness World Records.

World’s Highest Concert Planned for Mt. Everest

A group of musicians is planning to hold the world’s highest rock concert at the foot of Mount Everest in Nepal this month. Organizers announced Wednesday that nearly 40 musicians, including cancer survivors, will perform above an Everest base camp at Kalapathar (5,500 meters up) on or around October 22.
