Essex cancer survivor climbs Kilimanjaro

ESSEX — Two years ago, Kelly Carpenter spent her 29th birthday in the hospital receiving her sixth round of chemotherapy to treat stage three colon cancer.She turned 31 this month in Tanzania, days after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
