I became acquainted with Love Hope Strength back in 2008 through the encouragement of Cy Curnin.  Perusing the website, I read about how LHS came to be, what they stand for, what they do, and how they bring the needed support and supplies across the globe to those with cancer.  I was impressed and eager to join the “army”.  I have been touched by cancer, not personally, in my life as most of us in some way or another, whether it be friends, family, or acquaintances.  At the time, I had no idea how my world would change being a part of this organization.

That winter, I received information about “Kilimanjaro Rocks”.  As I sat there engulfed in the words before me, I “felt” an urge to participate.  I cannot describe the feeling but knew in my heart it was the right thing to do.  My grandmother, who was an inspiration and mentor to me, had passed away from cancer many years earlier.  I made a vow to do something monumental in dedication to her during my lifetime.  Not only that but I’d be a part of a phenomenal group of people who would help to open the doors of a much needed children’s cancer center in Tanzania.

In Tanzania, I would experience first hand…Lope Hope Strength.  The people of LHS…their goals, their inspiration, their support, their love, their perseverance is unmatched.  This organization is here to stay.  LHS is making waves across the globe helping people all over the world with cancer NOW.  I am proud to be a part of a truly unstoppable, for all the right reasons, foundation.  I am in for the long haul because LHS has opened my eyes to the beauty of everyone in this world and to the joy of helping others.  WE ARE ONE and nothing helps bring that message home more than music.

Please make a donation on my behalf to LOVE HOPE STRENGTH to purchase life saving equipment, spread awareness, promote early detection, and register people to the international bone marrow database so we can find a match and save precious lives.
