Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional to rock at 14k feet

Last week, Love Hope Strength Foundation announced that Chris Carrabba, lead singer of Dashboard Confessional, will headline their special charity pilgrimage: Pikes Peak Rocks 2010!  The second annual event on July 31, 2010 will bring cancer survivors, supporters, and musicians together to benefit global cancer care and a nationwide bone marrow registration.

Join over a hundred hikers climbing Pikes Peak to raise money and show their support to cancer survivors everywhere. In addition to Carrabba, entertaining the hikers on their quest will be musical performances by Miles Zuniga of Grammy nominated band, Fastball; solo artist, Nathan Croswhite; and the critically acclaimed Colorado band, John Common & Blinding Flashes of Light.

The concert atop Pikes Peak will be followed by a special reception at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where the Love Hope Strength Foundation will unveil their 2010 prayer flags. As with other Red Rock’s concerts, Love Hope Strength Foundation volunteers will be hosting a  bone marrow registration drive during the early parts of the show.

There is still time to join in on this event! Check out theLove Hope Strength website to get all of the details and to register. If you cannot make the event but would like to support Pikes Peak Rock 2010 or future Love Hope Strength initiatives, consider an online financial donation or getting on the bone marrow donation list. Get involved and have a great time with this global rock n’ roll cancer foundation!
