My name is ilan baril, and cancer has affected my life more than I tell most people. My mother, her mother and her grandmother are all breast cancer survivors. One of my childhood best friends is in remission from leukemia and one of my brother’s best friends, a strong as hell United States Marine of a scant 26 years old, was diagnosed and died of a particularly vicious form of leukemia in just six weeks.
Last year I had the honor of going to Machu Picchu with Love Hope Strength to help bring assistance to INEN, Lima’s cancer treatment center and ALINEN, the amazing group of volunteers who help run it.

This year, everyone is coming to my back yard, to Pike’s Peak, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. Welcome to Colorado!
