John Wrench of San Jose, California and later Dallas, Texas, lost his long, long battle with cancer on January 2, 2010 at the age of 65.
John had such a strong will to survive that he defied all the odds all the time. His family and friends, amazed at his strength and love for life, began to joke with him about how he had surpassed his ‘Nine Lives’ so many years ago that he was working towards one hundred. His family and pastors were present for many ‘death-bed scenes’ over the years.
John had a stem-cell transplant several years ago but, sadly, his cancer came back and he was preparing for his second transplant when he died very unexpectedly at home in the middle of the night.
Throughout his life, John found tremendous solace in music (rhythm and blues being his very favorite) and it is so fitting that he be honored through a music-centric cancer charity like Love Hope Strength.
Services for John will be as follows
