I am 56 years old and reside in Dallas, Texas but originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota which is still a very important part of my life.
Cancer has touched me way too many times to just sit still and do nothing about it. My father, as well as both of my siblings, my mother-in-law and 2 very close high school friends Ricky and Peggy were all diagnosed. Each fought this dreadful disease in their own way, some winning but some losing their courageous battle.
Last year on June 18th, it found it’s way to me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ironically at the same time I was going through chemo, both my daughters, Heather and Jaime were climbing Macchu Picchu for other cancer victims.
This year I am glad to say both daughters as well as my husband Robert, son Brad and Brad’s girlfriend Diana and friends Steve and Sheri are climbing Pikes Peak and I am STRONG enough to join them.
