My name is Julie Burton. I am 42 year old and live in Minnetonka, MN. My wonderful husband is David and we are blessed with four incredible kids: Sophie, Jeremy, Abe and Josie. I am the editor of a local parenting magazine. I love to run, walk, bike, practice yoga, read, write and spend time with family and friends. When my uncle Tony first told me about Pike’s Peak Rocks I knew that I had no other choice but to pull out my hiking shoes and get myself ready to climb. Too many people are affected by cancer. Too many people I love have fought or are fighting this horrible disease. I want to be part of an effort to stomp out cancer and until that is done, to help people have access to the resources they need to cope and to fight. I am hiking Pike’s Peak for everyone affected by cancer and for those near and dear to my heart: Anita, Arnie, Chaya Dalya, Deb, David, Diane, Eddie, Heidi, Howard, Howie, Igal, Jane, Joy, Jill, Julie, Leslie, Lisa, Margie, Marilee, Marit, Nancy, Randy, Rich, Richie, Ron, Ruth and Sherman. And of course, we know that our beloved Bill will be with us every step of the way.
