Karin Harvey

Hi, my name is Karin Harvey but most know me by my nickname K.K. pronounced Kay Kay. I was born and raised right here in Denver and just happen to be a 5th generation native. I love Denver and all that Colorado has to offer. I attended the University of San Diego and graduated in 1992 with a degree in International Relations. I then took my passion for the world and set forth on a yearlong solo journey around the world. Highlights of my trip were climbing Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, glaciers in New Zealand, Volcanoes throughout Indonesia and trekking in the Himalayas. My passion is to travel and to see all that there is to see in this world. I currently own a landscape business here in Denver and I am ski instructor in Vail Colorado during the winter. I love to stay physically active and love a good challenge. I have decided to join in on Pikes Peak ROCKS because of the challenge it presents as well as the cause it supports. Everyone has been touched in one way or another by cancer whether it be directly or through family, friends or friends of friends. Love Hope Strength is an amazing foundation that is making strides in raising cancer awareness, building cancer centers, providing medical equipment and supplies and finding bone marrow donors. If I am going to go do something that I love, such as exploring a mountain in Colorado, it makes it even better and more rewarding when something beautiful can come from my efforts.
