I wake up every day blessed to live an amazing and healthy life.

Lisa Miller is a native Southern Californian and currently lives in Calabasas, a suburb of Los Angeles. She was born and raised in Beverly Hills and got her Bachelors of Arts degree from UCLA in Psychology, Sociology and the Special Program of Business and Administration. She has worked in retail, advertising for the agency Fatouhi-Alonso and package development for Max Factor Cosmetics. The most challenging and best job that she has ever had is her current one. Lisa is a stay at home mom. She has been married for 20 years, has three teenage boys and several animals. Her hobbies are interior design, travel and jewelry making. She loves all outdoor activities and has run the Los Angeles Marathon two times.

Always having been philanthropic, Lisa is associated with the following organizations: The Maple Counseling Center, Home Aid and most recently The Miller Family YMCA. She is especially proud of founding “Kids for a Cause Club” which is her community service program for kids ages 12 – 16 whose mission is to make the world a better place. They have been working on different projects that are meaningful to help those in need, care for the environment and raise awareness for causes that the kids choose.

Who hasn’t been affected by cancer?  Lisa personally experienced several scares throughout her life – all found to be benign. Lisa is the lucky one. She lost a friend to breast cancer, father-in-law to brain cancer and is currently witnessing a business associate suffer from colon cancer.  Two of the kids in her community service group have parents that have battled cancer.  When looking for a foundation to have the kids to volunteer for, she discovered LoveHopeStrentgh – the perfect match for her group. Several kids in the group are in a band and they are working on an event that combines a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains with a music performance. They will donate all proceeds to LoveHopeStrength.

Lisa is excited to bring love, hope and strength to the world by joining the team for Mt. Fuji Rocks, by being a role model to the kids in Kids for a Cause Club and by raising much needed funds for cancer awareness, early detection and proper treatment.
