I have lived in New Jersey for most of my life growing up in Scotch Plains and attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where I earned a BA in Political Science. After graduation I worked for several Fortune 500 companies before entering into the government sector in 2003. It was here that I first became involved with the Love Hope Strength foundation. Since then I have supported and participated in the Rock On! Walk-a-thon & 5K Rock n’ Run and am excited about increasing my commitment by fundraising and making the pilgrimage to Mt. Fuji.
I presently live in my hometown of Scotch Plains with my wife MaryAnn and our three children, Gracie, Mick and Kiera.
I am dedicating this walk to my friend Mike K. who was recently diagnosed with oto-pharyngeal cancer. About my age, and a husband and father to young children his diagnosis hit close to home. While his prognosis is excellent, I hope what we accomplish on Mt. Fuji serves the purpose of others never having to deal with the realities that cancer can bring.
