HAVING just returned from a two-week expedition scaling the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Love Hope Strength Foundation, you would think Glenn Tilbrook would be in need of a well-deserved rest.
Instead, he’s taking time off from his bands, The Fluffers and a reformed Squeeze, to plot a solo tour calling at two Merseyside venues next week.
He will play Birkenhead’s Pacific Road Arts Centre on Wednesday, November 25, and St Helens Citadel on November 27.
Tilbrook’s 30-year career has spawned Top 10 hits all around the world, including Cool For Cats, Tempted and Up The Junction.
His work has been cited as a major influence by Mark Ronson, The Feeling, Kasabian, Razorlight and Lily Allen.
