We all have heroes. My Mom is a cancer survivor. She taught my brother and I countless lessons about patience, faith, determination, and strength during her recovery. Since my mother was first diagnosed, many friends and family members have gone through similar battles with cancer.  I have been fortunate to see these loved ones overcome the disease and celebrate survivorship. My mom continues to be a tireless, and compassionate friend to other patients and their families. My Mom is a Hero.

As a pediatric surgeon at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, I am constantly inspired by my patients and their families who courageously battle cancer. They have taught me the meaning of hope and the value of treasuring everyday. Working with Love, Hope, Strength is a fantastic way to honor my mom, these inspiring patients, and the dedicated families who are touched by cancer.  Heroes.
