LHS adds 100k to National Marrow Registry

When Love Hope Strength first teamed up with our amazing partners at Delete Blood Cancer, we had no idea how far we could take our ‘Get on the List’ campaign, utilizing music venues, supporting artists, and festivals throughout the United States for the first time ever in an attempt to increase the marrow registry. By enlisting music fans and remaining steadfast in our ongoing efforts to educate the general public about the ease and necessity of joining the registry, we have been able to target a young, healthy population previously untapped.

Since that first summer in 2008, our numbers have grown exponentially from just a few thousand to over 33,000 new potentially lifesaving donors added in 2014.

Recently, we were beyond thrilled to learn that we have now officially surpassed the 100,000 mark of new marrow registrants.  This achievement would not be possible without the constant support from our dedicated staff, volunteers, artists such as Robert Plant, Eric Church and Flogging Molly, festivals including ACL, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo,  venues like the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre and various promoters. We simply cannot thank everyone enough.

To date, we have found 1,776 potentially lifesaving matches from that 100,000, making our match to registrant ratio higher than the national average, proving what we have known all along.  Love Hope Strength is saving lives, one concert at a time.
