LHS Team News

It’s been a time of positive transition here at Love Hope Strength recently… First off, we bid a bittersweet THANK YOU! to our great VP of Programs, Katie Poppert, as she joins our friends at Andrew McMahon’s Dear Jack Foundation. In her new role she will serve as Director of Programs and Patient Outreach, but she’s not done with her work at LHS, either. We’ve retained her as our Medical Advisor and look forward to still having her valuable insights and commitment to the patients we serve, as well strengthening the relationship between the two organizations.

“I am so very grateful for the amazing experiences I’ve had, the relationships forged and friendships gained during my time at LHS. It was an absolute honor to be able to share my BMT knowledge with so many enthusiastic supporters, and I’m extremely proud of the over 70,000 people we’ve added to the registry during my time as VP,” Katie said. “While I will miss the day-to-day interactions with the LHS family, I look forward to continuing my involvement in a support role and am excited to see where Natalie, Jason and the rest of the team take the foundation from here!”

And as we move forward we have two great new LHS team members to introduce you to, Natalie James and Jason Chavez.

Natalie will serve as VP of Operations and her prime responsibility will be overseeing our great Get on the List program in partnership with our friends at Delete Blood Cancer. Natalie comes to us with over 20 years of business experience in the areas of Office and Project Management, Human Resources, Accounting, and Marketing, as well as serving on Non-Profit Boards and volunteering. She brings a ton of enthusiasm and professional skills to the LHS team and we’re honored to have her help lead the way as we strive to save lives, one concert at a time!

Natalie added, “It is a great honor to be given the opportunity to be a part of this incredible organization, to work amongst the passionate team members of Love Hope Strength and Delete Blood Cancer.  I am extremely thankful to Katie Poppert for paving the way and look forward to our continued relationship. ”

Jason joins LHS in the role of Artist and Venue Relations Director. He has years of experience booking bands and advancing events and concerts, as well as being an accomplished musician in his own right. “Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and as I’ve grown both professionally and personally, I’ve realized helping others and being a positive asset to my community are things I’m equally passionate about,” he said. “Love Hope Strength is an outstanding organization and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity.”

Jason’s main duties will be finding new and exciting talent, venues, and festivals to help further the LHS mission, as well maintaining the outstanding relationships we’ve created over the years. We’re proud to have him on the team and look forward to the many ways he will contribute in the days ahead.

– It’s a great time to be part of the Love Hope Strength Foundation and we’re honored to have such quality people adding their skills to our life-saving mission. Thanks again to Katie for all she’s done and will continue to do for the cancer community, and welcome aboard Natalie and Jason!
