Hi friends! My name is Mark Billesbach and I am a two-time blood cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with CML in January 2008 and had a life saving bone marrow transplant in April 2011. I have been a part of Love Hope Strength Foundation since 2012.
I LOVE being a part of LHS. This organization gives me and others HOPE for survival. Cancer has drastically changed my life and everyday is a struggle for me, mentally and physically, but I am never giving up. A lot of my STRENGTH to continue fighting comes from the mission of Love Hope Strength. I am honored to be an LHS advocate and Rockstar!
For many, a bone marrow transplant is the only chance for survival and thousands of people every year will be denied the opportunity to have this lifesaving procedure. This fact is extremely unsettling to me and it doesn’t have to be this way. A simple cheek swap is all it takes to potentially save a life. This is why I am a part of Love Hope Strength. I want to see others have the same opportunity at continuing their life as I have, and what better way than to do it through LHS and the awesome power of music.
